About

The Yes Cafe Edinburgh South was set up shortly after the Scottish Referendum campaign in 2014.  It aims to continue the positive spirit developed during the campaign, whereby everyday, Scots from all walks of life, were engaged in creating a fairer, wealthier and healthier Scotland. We aim to create a community where this can prosper.  Weekly debates are held, as well as regular meetings with high-profile political speakers.  We also hold regular fundraising events! We are now called The Edinburgh Yes Hub as we feel it is more inclusive and we do not have a cafe or licence although we will have a kettle. We need volunteers and events to remain open, it is yours as much as ours so all ideas are debated. We will be doing International social media, have a media centre and an electronic newsletter.

"An independent Scotland, pursuing a clean, green and peaceful agenda, can be at the forefront of efforts against climate change."

Annie Lennox

Our Mission

Our Mission

We are a community hub in the spirit of the Yes movement started during the Scottish referendum of 2014.  Run by a group of non-partisan volunteers, we seek real progressive politics through dialogue shaped by political and social awareness.

Our aim is to open discussion towards Scottish Independence through education.

At the Hub we run regular talks by high profile speakers, "Meet the Authors" events, historical & political education, "Open Forum" events, folk club, book club and social events.  Our future plans include opening a media centre to produce podcasts that will compliment our monthly online newsletter.
